Kinja'd!!!

Going a little stir crazy, but not crazy enough to go out in this. It’ll probably be gone soon, but I’m sure it’s enough to stop the post office from delivering things that were “guaranteed” to arrive last Monday...

We’re getting hit here, too. I need to go check out a waterfall tomorrow for Oppo Hunt.

Looks moist. This part of that hurricane that was in the news? or something new?

Man, I wish we would get rain like that....we’ve had a hot, dry period with no rain for weeks...

Just the typical midwest thunderstorm. It’ll be gone before long, and then we’ll get another one in a day or two.

Oppo to the core. I’ve seen exactly one other one in the eight years I’ve owned mine.

I’d totally rock a manual 5 with a sunroof

At the time you could only get the manual on the base model (it might have been different on the ‘06-’10 version) , so no sunroof, no leather, no B luetooth, no low-profile tires, no body kit, no HIDs. etc. And to be honest, I’m pretty much OK with that. I’ve had luxury cars and had to deal with cracking leather, leaky sunroofs, jammed power seats and harsh ride, so I’m quite happy with what I have - it’s just less to go wrong .

I do BT through a little device into the aux port , handsfree and rear camera through my GPS, and I’ve added a lot of OEM goodies over the years via eBay, junkyards and Goodwill (leather steering wheel, leather parking brake cover, RX8 shift knob, 6-disc changer, etc.). All this work just makes it more ‘mine’ whilst still retaining a near stock appearance. I’ll never part with this car, even if I win the lottery. Never.

Sounds like my days back in SoCal. The midwest is a different animal entirely.
